When the limit is exceeded, a fault indication is output by the device. Consequently, the device is put into monitoring
mode. The red ERROR-LED lights up.

TIMER and TIMER_SHORT share the available timer resources. The relation is TIMER = 2 · system timer and
TIMER_SHORT = 1 · system timer. The following condition applies for the maximum number of timers: (2 · number of
TIMERs + number of TIMER_SHORTs) < 20. The LONG_TIMER is not subject to this condition.

The time values for the blocks TIMER and TIMER_SHORT must not be selected shorter than the time resolution of the
device of 5 ms, as the blocks will not then start with the starting pulse.
