General Description
The processing of analog signals in the TXP AS 620 B system (SIM version) is
carried out using an AT function block in conjunction with an ET 200M I/O device
(SIM 331).
The AT function block and SIM module are used to read and monitor analog
signals. The following pre-processing functions are also present:
• Monitoring for open circuit
• Smoothing of analog signal
• Simulation of input signals
• Monitoring and limiting analog signal
• Modification of input signals
• Generation of TTD with change in signal
• Output of a substitution analog value in the event of faults
• Generation binary signals when exceeding limit values
• Linearization to physical units
• Indication of signal faults
The AT function block establishes the connection between the hardware function
plans and the automation processor (AP) logic. It is used to establish an analog
signal for use in monitoring and/or process control.
