Signal Code
The KKS system incorporates a signal code, which allows the consistent
identification of signals. The signal code is a suffix of the KKS code, which
identifies the type of switching element used to create the signal. Figure 6 shows
an example of the signal identification code:

Initial Character
The initial character of the signal code is used to identify the type of signal being
identified. The only two characters that are used are listed below:
X Signal from a specific signal area, this means a signal that comes directly
from a switch for example.
Z Gated signal from a specific signal area, this means a signal that comes
from the output of an AND gate for example. The creation of this signal is
from previous logic.
