Also, ensure the paper on the tray is not wet and does not have a rough surface. Check if the media type in Print Properties and the paper on the tray match, as well as if the paper type selected in the Printer Control Panel matches the paper on the tray. The toner cartridge may also be defective and need replacement.

Finally, check that the paper isn't wet and doesn't have a rough surface.
