Secure piston pin with both piston pin circlips no. 6.
NOTE: Do not align the end gap of the piston pin
circlips with the cutout in the piston bore.
1. Piston pin circlip
2. Cutout
Install all rings no. 24 with the markings facing up-
ward.
Ensure that top and second rings are not inter-
changed.
1. Top ring (chrome plated)
2. Second ring
3. Oil ring
Check that rings rotate smoothly after installation.
Space the piston ring end gaps 120° apart and do
not align the gaps with the piston pin bore or the
thrust side axis.
RING POSITIONING
1. DO NOT align ring gap with piston trust side axis
2. DO NOT align ring gap with piston pin bore axis
A. 120°
Position piston ass‘y with piston mark toward
push rod hole, as shown in the following illustra-
tion.
