2. To set the VX4792 Arbitrary Waveform Generator controls and select the
waveform file, type:
. Watch the CRT of the oscilloscope when triggering manually. The
oscilloscope sweeps one time for each command.
3. To check burst count, type:
Check that the oscilloscope displays three cycles of the sine wave.
4. End procedure: Disconnect the oscilloscope.
This procedure checks the operation of the Gated mode.
Electrical Characteristic Checked: Operating mode, Gated, on page E–4.
Equipment Required: Four 50 coaxial cables, a 50 precision termination,
a BNC female-to-female adapter, a dual input adapter (TEE), a function genera-
tor, and an oscilloscope.
Prerequisites: The instrument must meet the prerequisites listed on page F–3.
Procedure:
1. Install test setup and set test equipment controls (see Figure F–6):
a. Connect the oscilloscope: Connect the WAVEFORM OUTPUT
connector through the coaxial cable to the CH1 vertical input connector
on the oscilloscope.
b. Connect the function generator: Connect the function generator output
to both the TRIGGER INPUT and the oscilloscope CH2 input through
coaxial cables, a precision termination, and a dual input adapter.
