The X-ray tube
cannot be switched
on.
The sample chamber lid is

The stepping motor or
the safety switches are
defective.

When the measurement
starts, the high-voltage is

No spectrum is displayed
when the measurement is
started.
There is no sample at the
measurement position.
Check the sample position on the
sample tray or place the sample
onto the measurement position.
Defective stop mechanism,
excitation or detection
system.

The input pulse density
(ICR) is too high.
Activate the power control in the
measurement method.
During the MCA
calibration, error
messages appear.
There is no proper sample
at the measurement
position or no sample at
all.
Place the MCA sample onto the
correct position of the sample
tray.
