Fault Cause Remedy
The analysis results
of the reference
sample show great
deviations.
There is no proper sample
at the measurement
position or no sample at
all.
Place a reference sample at the
measurement position.
When using the vacuum
system, it was not switched
on or not properly
connected.
Switch on the vacuum pump, check
the vacuum hoses.
The helium supply was not
connected when the
helium flushing was used.
Connect the helium supply and start
the procedure again.
The "Liquid-Protect" film of
the sample cup is torn.
Replace the "Liquid-Protect" film of
the sample cup.
Contamination in the
sample chamber.
Clean the sample chamber, clean or
replace the film holder.
The MCA recalibration
failed previously
Repeat the MCA calibration.
Defective stop mechanism,
excitation or detection
system.
Please contact your Service Center.
Other malfunctions in the
system.
Please contact your Service Center.
Powder from a
cuvette has leaked
into the spectrometer.
Apparent contamination. Clean the sample chamber.
Clean or replace the film holder.
Additional contamination
