Position as delivered Safety side raised
Raise the safety sides at the head end
• Grasp the middle of the top safety side bar 1 and pull the safety side bar
upwards as far as it will go. Both ends must audibly click into place.
• Repeat the process on all other safety side bars.
All safety sides raised
The resident is not sufficiently protected from falling out of bed if the safety
sides are only raised at the foot end of the bed.
Therefore, only ever raise the foot-end safety sides if the head-end safety
sides are also raised.
This is the only way to achieve maximum protection for the resident, in the
same way as with full-length safety sides.
