– Remove the oil cap(1).
– Add our recommended genuine oil by divid-
ing it into several portions for replenish-
ment.
NOTE
Ensure to refill the engine oil every 500 h.
– Wait for about 1 ~ 2 minutes and then
check the engine oil level.
– Check whether the oil is smeared between
the upper limit and the lower limit of the oil
level gauge.
– Repeat the above process until the engine
oil level reaches the appropriate level.
– Tighten the oil cap by hand. Over-tightening
may damage the cap.
CAUTION
– Be careful not to let foreign substances flow into
the engine when replenishing engine oil.
– Exceeding the upper limit of the oil level gauge
may cause engine faults. If you have exceeded
the upper limit of the oil gauge, drain it until the
engine oil level is indicated between the upper
limit and the lower limit of the oil level gauge.
– Do not use unspecified engine oil additives.
Replacing the engine oil filter
– Remove the oil filter (1).
– Disassemble oil filter (1) with the filter
wrench.
CAUTION
Oil in the filter may run down while detaching the oil
filter. Be careful not to contaminate the other parts by
using a cloth when detaching the filter. After replac-
ing the oil filter, wipe clean any other parts which the
oil has touched.
– Clean the mounting surface of the engine
oil filter.
