Truck transport and lifting
Use a truck or flatbed trailer to carry
the forklift truck
The truck is normally transported by road and
rail complete with lift mast. If the truck's di-
mensions exceed the max. clearance size al-
lowed, it is transported with mast disassem-
bled.
The forklift must be secured to the transport
means during transport using appropriate re-
straint systems .
– Lower the lift mast completely.
– Tilt the lift mast forward.
NOTE
The fork arms must be resting on the ground.
– Apply the parking brake as described in
chapter entitled"Parking brake".
– Use two wedges to block each of the front
and rear wheels to prevent rolling.
– Use ropes to secure the forklift truck on the
truck.
CAUTION
Also use ropes to secure the mast in the case that
the mast shall be disassembled during the transport.
