Replacing the
Waste
Container
Printerwastecontainspartiallycuredpolymericmaterial,collectedduring
normaloperationandmaintenanceoftheprinter.Forsafetyand
environmentalreasons,thismaterialiskeptinaspecialleak-proof,disposable
container.
Thecontainerhasacapacityof10kilogramsofwastematerial—usually
enoughforseveralmonthsofprinteruse.Theprinterapplicationdisplaysa
warningmessagewhenthereare9kilogramsofmaterialinthecontainer,
andstopstheprintingwhenthenetweightreaches9.5kilograms.Above9
kilograms,thesoftwaredoesnotallowyoutostartaprintingjoboractivity
untilyoureplacethewastecontainer.Youcanmonitortheweightofthe
wastecontainerintheMaintenancescreenoftheprinterinterface.Youcan
alsovisuallyinspectthelevelofwasteinthecontainer.Toaccessit,seepage
6-85.
