Other Commands and Reservations
Unit and element reservations are released or canceled by:
■ A Release command from the initiator that owns the reservation (original
initiator or the third party)
■ A Task Management reset:
■ Bus Device Reset Message
■ Target Reset
■ LUN Reset
■ An interface reset
■ A power-on reset of the library
If the library is reserved as a unit, the library processes only the following
commands from another initiator:
■ Prevent/Allow Medium Removal with Prevent bits set to 0
■ Inquiry
■ Release
■ Report LUNs
■ Request Sense
■ Log Sense
■ Read Element Status with the CurData bit set to 1 (currently not supported)
All other commands result in a Reservation Conflict status (18h).
