CRANKCASE
When
reassembling
the
crankcase
pay
attention
to
the
fol-
lowing
points:
Remove sealant material on
the
mating
surfaces
of
right
and
left
halves
of
crankcase and
thoroughly
remove
oil
stains.
Apply
SUZUKI BOND
NO.1207B
uniformly
to
the
mating
surface
of
the
left
half
of
the
crankcase, and assemble
the
cases
within
few
minutes.

Fit
the
dowel
pins
CD
on
the
right
half
as
shown
in
photo.
Apply
engine oil
to
conrod
big end
of
the
crankshaft
and
all
parts
of
the
transmission
gears.
After
the
crankcase
bolts
have been
tightened,
check
if
driveshaft
and
countershaft
rotate
smoothly.

Crankcase
bolt:
11
N-m
(1.1
kg-m,
8.0
Ib-ft)
If
a large resistance
is
felt
to
rotation,
try
to
free
the
shafts
by
tapping
the
driveshaft
or
countershaft
with
a
plastic
hammer.
CAM
DRIVEN GEAR
Install
the
gearshift
pawls
into
the
cam
driven
gear.
The
large
shoulder
@
must
face
to
the
outside
as
shown
in
the
illustration.
When
installing
the
cam guide @ and
pawl
lifter
@, ap-
ply
a small
quantity
of
THREAD LOCK
"1342"
to
the
securing
screws
@ .
