Assembly
Assemble the recoil starter in the reverse order of
disassembly. Pay attention to the following points:
WARNING
!
Wear hand and eye protection when
installing the reel, since the spring may
quickly unwind and cause an injury.
• When installing the spiral spring, hook the spiral
spring end “A” with the recoil starter case as shown in
the figure.
• Apply grease to the spiral spring.
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE A or equivalent)
• Turn the rope on the reel properly.
• After installing the spiral spring, engage the part “B” of
the reel with the spiral spring end “C”.
• Hook the rope onto the hook part “D” of the reel, turn
the reel clockwise five or six times with the rope.
• Connect the handle (1) to the rope (2).
• Install the ratchet related parts.
• Apply grease to the shaft and ratchet guide.
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE A or equivalent)
• Pull the rope and check that the ratchet is pushed out.
