SpeechRecognition
SpeechRecognitionenablesyoutocontrolyourcomputerbyvoice.
Usingonlyyourvoice,youcanstartprograms,openmenus,clickbuttonsandotherobjectsonthescreen,
dictatetextintodocuments,andwriteandsende-mails.Everythingyoudowiththekeyboardandmouse
canbedonewithonlyyourvoice.
ToopenSpeechRecognition,dothefollowing:
•ForWindows7:ClicktheStartbutton.Then,typeSpeechRecognitionintothesearchfield.Inthelist
ofresults,clickSpeechRecognition.
•ForWindows8.1:ClicktheSearchicononthetop-rightcorneroftheStartscreenandthentypeSpeech
Recognitionintothedisplayedsearchbox.Ifyouareusingakeyboard,youcanjuststarttypingonthe
Startscreenandthenthesearchboxandsearchresultsaredisplayedautomatically.Inthelistofresults,
clickSpeechRecognition.
FormoreinformationabouthowtouseandconfigureSpeechRecognition,seetheWindowsHelpand
Supportinformationsystem.
Customizabletextsize
Dependingonyourpreference,youcanchangeonlythetextsizeinsteadofchangingthesizeofeverything
onthedesktop.Tochangethetextsize,openControlPanelandclickAppearancesandPersonalization➙
Display.Then,gotoChangeonlythetextsizeandsetatextsizethatmeetsyourneeds.
Magnifier
YourcomputerisequippedwiththeMicrosoftMagnifiertohelpvisuallyimpairedpeopleusethecomputer
morecomfortably.Magnifierisausefulutilitythatenlargespartorallofyourscreensothatyoucanseethe
wordsandimagesbetter.MagnifierispartoftheEaseofAccessCenter.
ToopenMagnifier,dothefollowing:
•ForWindows7:ClicktheStartbutton,clickAllPrograms➙Accessories➙EaseofAccess,and
thenclickMagnifier.
•ForWindows8.1:ClicktheSearchicononthetop-rightcorneroftheStartscreenandthentypeMagnier
intothedisplayedsearchbox.Ifyouareusingakeyboard,youcanjuststarttypingontheStartscreenand
thenthesearchboxandsearchresultsaredisplayedautomatically.Inthelistofresults,clickMagnifier.
