•Afteryouchangethestartupsequence,ensurethatyouselectacorrectdeviceduringacopy,asave,ora
formatoperation.Otherwiseyourdatamightbeerasedoroverwritten.
•IfyouareusingtheBitLockerdriveencryption,donotchangethestartupsequence.BitLockerdrive
encryptionlocksthecomputerfromstartingoncedetectsthechangeofstartupsequence.
Tochangethestartupsequencetemporarilysothatthecomputerstartsfromadesireddrive,dothefollowing:
1.Restartthecomputer.WhentheThinkPadlogoisdisplayed,pressF12.
2.Selectthedevicethatyouwantthecomputertostartfrom.
Note:TheBootmenuwillbedisplayedifthecomputercannotstartfromanydevices,ortheoperating
systemcannotbefound.
