Tipsonusingtheharddiskpasswords
•YoucansettheminimumlengthofaharddiskpasswordthroughtheSecuritymenu.
•Ifyousetaharddiskpasswordofoversevencharacters,theharddiskdriveorhybriddrivecanbeused
onlywithacomputerthatcanrecognizeaharddiskpasswordofoversevencharacters.Ifyoutheninstall
theharddiskdriveorhybriddriveinacomputerthatcannotrecognizeaharddiskpasswordthatcontains
morethansevencharacters,youcannotaccessthedrive.
•Recordyourpasswordandstoreitinasafeplace.Ifyouforgettheuserharddiskpassword,orbothuser
andmasterharddiskpasswords,Lenovocannotresetyourpasswordsorrecoverdatafromtheharddisk
driveorhybriddrive.YoumusttakeyourcomputertoaLenovoreselleroramarketingrepresentative
tohavetheharddiskdriveorhybriddrivereplaced.Proofofpurchaseisrequired,andafeewillbe
chargedforpartsandservice.

•Setapower-onpasswordaswellasaharddiskpasswordforyourinternalsolid-statedrive,harddisk
