Attention:Whiletransferringdatatoorfromaflashmediacard,suchasanSDcard,donotputyour
computerintosleeporhibernationmodebeforethedatatransfercompletes;otherwise,yourdatacould
becomedamaged.
Installingaflashmediacard
Attention:
•Beforeyoustartinstallingacard,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.Thisactionreducesany
staticelectricityfromyourbody.Staticelectricitycoulddamagethecard.
Toinstallaflashmediacard,dothefollowing:
1.Ensurethatthecardiscorrectlyoriented.
2.Insertthecardfirmlyintotheslotofthe4-in-1mediacardreader.
Iftheplug-and-playfeatureisnotenabledfortheinstalledflashmediacard,dothefollowingtoenable
thefeature:
1.GotoControlPanel.
2.ClickHardwareandSound.
3.ClickDeviceManager.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconfirmation,typethe
passwordorprovideconfirmation.
4.FromtheActionmenu,selectAddlegacyhardware.TheAddHardwareWizardstarts.
5.Followtheinstructionsonthescreen.
Removingaflashmediacard
Attention:
•Beforeremovingacard,stopthecardfirst.Otherwise,dataonthecardmightbedamagedorlost.
•Donotremoveacardwhilethecomputerisinsleepmodeorhibernationmode.Otherwise,thesystem
mightnotrespondwhenyoutrytoresumeoperation.
Toremoveacard,dothefollowing:
1.Clickthetriangularicononthewindowsnotificationareatoshowhiddenicons.Then,right-clickthe
SafelyRemoveHardwareandEjectMediaicon.
2.Selecttheitemyouwanttoremovetostopthecard.
3.Pressthecardtoejectitfromyourcomputer.
4.Removethecardandstoreitsafelyforfutureuse.
Note:IfyoudonotremovethecardfromyourcomputerafteryouejectthecardfromtheWindowsoperating
system,thecardcannolongerbeaccessed.Toaccessthecard,youmustremoveitfirst,theninsertitagain.
