INSTALLATION AND SETTING PROCEDURES (HARDWARE)
9.3.2. Adjusting the speaker line's OPEN sensitivity
Open sensitivity is expressed as the ratio to the initial value (dened as 100 %) and can be adjusted in the range
of 101 % to 800 %. It is set to "200" for all the channels by default.
Perform this setting using the VX-3000 Setting Software.
Note
Moving the setting closer to 101 % increases the OPEN sensitivity, and thus improves the accuracy of "OPEN"
detection. Moving the setting closer to 800 % decreases the OPEN sensitivity, and thereby stabilizes the
operation of the "OPEN" detection.
9.3.3. Adjusting the speaker line's SHORT sensitivity
SHORT sensitivity is expressed as the ratio to the initial value (dened as 100 %) and can be adjusted in the
range of 5 % to 50 %. It is set to "50" for all the channels by default.
Perform this setting using the VX-3000 Setting Software.
Note
Moving the setting closer to 5% decreases the SHORT sensitivity, and thereby stabilizes the operation of the
"SHORT" detection.
Important
Adjust the SHORT sensitivity within the range not exceeding two times the power amplifier's rated load, as
doing otherwise may cause damage to the power amplifier.
(Example)
• When the speakers with the rated load are connected: Set to "50."
• When the speakers with 1/2 rated load are connected: Set in the range of "25" to "50."
