•Becomefamiliarwiththecontrolsandknowhowtostopthemachineand
electricmotorquickly.
•Keepalltheshields,safetydevices,anddecalsinplace.Ifashield,safety
device,ordecalismalfunctioning,illegible,ordamaged,repairorreplaceit
beforeoperatingthemachine.
•Alwayswearsubstantialshoes.Donotoperatethemachinewhilewearing
sandals,tennisshoes,orsneakers.Donotwearloosettingclothingwhich
couldgetcaughtinmovingpartsandcausepersonalinjury.
•Wearingsafetyglasses,safetyshoes,longpants,earprotection,andahard
hatisadvisableandrequiredbysomelocalsafetyandinsuranceregulations.
•Ensurethattheworkareaisclearofobjectswhichmightbepickedupand
thrownbythecuttingunit.
•Keepeveryone,especiallychildrenandpets,awayfromtheareasof
operation.
•Thesafetyinterlockswitchesarefortheoperator’sprotection;donot
disconnectthem.Checktheoperationoftheswitchesdailytoensurethat
theinterlocksystemisoperating.Ifaswitchisdamaged,replaceitbefore
