ensurethattherearrollerisproperlyalignedtothereel.Thereelshouldnot
haveanyconetothisprocedure.
1.Placetheassembledcuttingunitonasurfaceplate.
2.Ensurethatthebedknifeisproperlyadjustedtothecuttingunit.
3.Usethesurfaceplate,checkiftherearrollerisleveltothecuttingunitby
usinga0.13mm(0.005inch)shimateachendoftherearroller.Iftheshim
willpassundertherolleratoneendbutnottheother,aframeadjustment
shouldbemade.
4.Loosen,butdonotremovethe2shoulderboltsthatsecurethesideplateto
theframeoppositethesidethatisnotlevel(Figure155).
5.Adjustthepositionofthesideplatetoparalleltherearrollerandcuttingunit.
Torquetheshoulderboltsto24to27N∙m(210to240in-lb).
6.Aftertighteningthesideplate,checktherearroller.Ifnecessary,loosenand
adjustthesecondsideplate.
7.Afterlevelingtherearroller,completethecuttingunitset-upandadjustment
sequence.
