ThehibernatestateofthechargerisaverylowACcurrentdrawchargermode.
Thisstatestartsautomatically24hoursafterthestartofthelatestcharge
operation.Whileinhibernate,theonlythingthechargerisdoingismonitoring
time,anddisplayingthestatusofthechargerwiththeLCDmessagedisplayat
adimmedbrightness.216hours(9days)afterhibernatebegins,thecharger
willpowerbackupandwakeupthebatterypack.Thereare2sub-stateswithin
hibernate,assuminghibernatehasnotbeeninterrupted,thatprepareand
maintainthebatterypackduringlongtermstorage.
Uponwakingupfromhibernatemode,thepackandchargerwillestablish
CANcommunicationstodeterminethesystemstatus.IfallisOK,thecharger
willinitiateadischargeofthebatterypack.Thegoalofthisdischargeisto
reducethepackSOCfrom100%to40%within30days.Thisdischargeisdone
becausethelithiumbatterypackcapacitycanbepermanentlyreducedifstored
attoohighofSOCfortoolong.Whenthebatterypackreaches40%SOC,itwill
indicatethatthedischargeiscompletedbychangingitsstatetoStorage.The
chargerwillthengobackintohibernatemode.
Every10daysthereafter,thechargerwillpowerbackupandmonitorthestatus
ofthebatterypack.IfthepackreachestoolowofSOC(30%)thepackwill
berechargedto40%SOC.
Toreturnthebatterypackto100%stateofchargeafterhibernation,disconnect
thebatterychargerfromthebatteryandconnectthebatterytotheeFlex
machine.TurnthekeyswitchtotheSTARTpositionandallowfullstart-up
processofthemachine.Then,turnthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandallow
fullshutdownofthemachine.Finally,connectthebatterypacktothechargerto
allowthebatterypacktoreceivefullcharge.
