TheEZturnsensorisanormallyopenproximitysensorthatmountstoasensor
bracketmountedtothecuttingunitrollframe(Figure108).Thesensingplatefor
thesensorisatargetplateattachedtothetopofthecuttingunitassembly.The
TECmonitorstheoperationoftheEZturnsensor.
Whenthetractionunitissupportedonthetractiondrumwiththecuttingunit
supportedbybothfrontandrearrollersonlevelground,thetargetendoftheEZ
turnsensorispositionedawayfromthetargetplateonthecuttingunitsothatthe
sensorisopen.TheEZturnsensorismovedtowardthecuttingunittargetplate
whenthecuttingunitisraisedforturning,causingthesensortoclose.
Note:TheEZturnsensorLEDshouldbeilluminatedwheneverthemachineis
operational(thekeyswitchintheRUNposition)andthecuttingunitisraised.
Note:TheEZTurnfunctionisonlyactivewhenthemachineisbeingoperated
withthecuttingunitengaged.Also,theEZturnswitchandEZturnsensorarein
seriessobothswitchandsensorhavetobeONfortheEZTurnfunctiontobe
ON.IfeithertheswitchorthesensorisOFF,theEZTurnfunctionwillbeOFF.

TestingtheSensor
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandplacethetractionleverinthe
NEUTRALposition.
2.TurnthekeyswitchtotheSTARTpositiontowakeupthemachineandthen
turnthekeyswitchtotheRUNposition.
3.ChecktheLEDonthecableendoftheEZturnsensor:
A.ThesensorLEDshouldnotbeilluminatedwhenthecuttingunitisbeing
supportedbybothfrontandrearrollersonlevelground.
B.ThesensorLEDshouldbeilluminatedwhenthecuttingunitisraised
(handlepusheddown).
