Performtheliftcylinderinternalleakagetestifyouidentifyanattachmentliftor
lowerproblem.Thistestdeterminesiftheliftcylinderbeingtestedisdamaged.
Whenperformingtheliftcylinderinternalleakagetest,theattachmentshouldbe
attachedtothehitchassembly.
Theraise/lowercircuitoperationcanbeaffectedbytheliftcylinderbinding,extra
weightontheattachment,and/orbindingofthehitchcomponents.Ensurethat
theseitemsarecheckedbeforeperformingtheliftcylinderinternalleakagetest.
Note:Onmodel08743machines,thereliefvalvefortheliftcircuitispartofa
remotemanifoldlocatedneartheliftvalve.Onmodel08745machines,therelief
valvefortheliftcircuitisintegratedintothesteeringcontrolvalve.
TestProcedure
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,raiseanyattachments,engagethe
parkingbrake,andsetthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition.
2.Useajacktosupporttheattachmentandpreventitfromlowering.This
removestheloadfromtheliftcylinderandrelievestheliftcylinderhydraulic
pressure.
3.Cleananddisconnectthehydraulichoseandttingattherodendofthelift
cylinder;refertoFigure43.
