1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,loweranyattachments,engagethe
parkingbrake,setthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremovethekey
fromtheswitch.
2.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinGeneralPrecautionsfor
RemovingandInstallingtheHydraulicSystemComponents(page5–54).
3.Cleanthettingandhydraulichoseconnectionsbeforedisconnectingthe
hydraulichosestopreventsystemcontamination.
4.Disconnectthehydraulichoses.Capthettingsandplugthehosesto
preventsystemcontamination.
5.Removethe2jamnutsthatsecurethesteeringcylinderballjointtothe
frontfork.
6.Useasuitabletool(picklefork)toseparatetheballjointfromthefrontfork.
7.Removethe2capscrewsandatwashersthatsecurethesteeringcylinder
totheyokeandremovethecylinderfromthemachine.Locateandretrieve
thespacers.
