positive(+)cablerst.Applyacoatingofbatteryterminalprotectororalight
coatofpetroleumjellytotheterminalstoreducecorrosionafteryoumake
theconnections;refertoBatteryTerminalProtector(page2–17).
7.Checkthebattery-electrolytelevelevery25operatinghoursandevery30
daysifmachineisinstorage.
Note:Donotllthecellsabovethellline.
8.Maintainthecelllevelwiththedistilledordemineralizedwater.
StoringtheBattery
Ifyoustorethemachineformorethan30days:
1.Removethebatteryandchargeitfully;refertoRemovingandInstallingthe
Battery(page6–31).
2.Storethebattery:
•onashelforonthemachine
•withcablesdisconnectedifstoredonthemachine
•inacoolatmospheretoavoidquickdeteriorationofthebatterycharge
•inanenvironmentthatwillnotbebelowfreezingforanextendedperiod
