1.Removethefrontwheel;refertoRemovingtheFrontWheel(page7–3).
2.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinGeneralPrecautionsfor
RemovingandInstallingtheHydraulicSystemComponents(page5–54).
3.Cleanthehydraulictubeendsandttingsonthewheelmotortoprevent
contaminantsfromenteringintothehydraulicsystem.
4.Labelandremovethehydraulictubesfromthettingsonthewheelmotor.
Allowthetubestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.
5.Installcleancapsandplugsonthehydraulictubesandttingstoprevent
systemcontamination.
6.Markthewheelmotorassemblyas“Front”andremovethewheelmotor
assemblyfromthemachine.
7.Securethewheelhubinavise.Useatorquemultipliertoloosenthelock
nutthatsecuresthehubtothemotor.Donotremovethelocknutfromthe
motorshaft.
IMPORTANT
DONOThitthewheelhub,wheelhubpuller,orwheelmotorwitha
hammerduringwheelhubremoval.Hammeringmaycausedamage
tothewheelmotor.
8.Useahubpullertoloosenthewheelhubfromthewheelmotor;referto
WheelHubPuller(page2–18).
9.Removethewheelmotorassemblyfromtheviseandremovethelocknut,
hub,andwoodruffkeyfromthemotorshaft.
