10.Removethesuctionhosebetweenthehydraulicuidlterandthepump.
11.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulicconnections.Recordthe
locationofcabletiesandroutingofthehydraulichosesforassembly
purposes.
12.Disconnectthehosesandtubesfromthettingsonthepiston(traction)
pumpandallowthehydrauliclinestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.
13.Installcleancapsorplugsontheopeningsofpumpanddisconnectedlines
topreventhydraulicsystemcontamination.
14.Removethefastenerssecuringthehydraulicuidlterassemblytothe
pistonpump.
15.Loosenthe2setscrewsonthepumphub.
16.Supportthepistonpumpandremovethefastenerssecuringthepumptothe
enginesupport.
IMPORTANT
Becarefulnottodamagethepump,pumpcoupling,fueland
hydrauliclines,electricalharnessorotherpartswhileremovingthe
piston(traction)pumpfromthemachine.
17.Slidethepumptowardthefrontofmachineuntilthepumpshaftisclearof
thepumphub.Removethepiston(traction)pumpfromthemachine.
18.Inspectthepumpdrivecouplingforwearordamageandreplaceas
necessary.
19.Locateandretrievethesquarekeyfromthepumpshaft.
20.Ifnecessary,loosenthecapscrewthatsecuresthefantothepumpand
removethefan.
21.Ifnecessary,removethetractioncontrolassemblyfromthetractionpump;
refertoTractionPedalandControlAssembly(page7–10).
22.Ifnecessary,removethehydraulicttingsfromthepump.Recordthe
locationsandorientationsofthettingsforassemblypurposes.
