Whileenergized,ushoutanycontaminationwithanonammable
aerosolbrakecleaner.De-energizethesolenoid.Repeattheush
whileenergizedprocedure5or6times.Removethesolenoidfromthe
cartridge.
6.Installthecartridgevalve:
A.LubricatethenewO-ringsandthebackupringsofthesealkitwithclean
hydraulicuidandinstallthemonthecartridgevalve.TheO-ringsandthe
backupringsmustbearrangedcorrectlyonthecartridgevalveforproper
operationandsealing;refertonotestakenduringthesealremoval.
IMPORTANT
Usecarewheninstallingthecartridgevalve.Slightbendingor
distortionofthestemtubecancausebindingandmalfunction.
Makesurethatdeepwellsocketfullyengagesthevalvebase.
B.Lubricatethethreadsonthecartridgevalvewithcleanhydraulicuid.
Threadthecartridgevalvecarefullyintothecorrectmanifoldport.The
valveshouldthreadineasilywithoutbinding.
C.Tightenthecartridgevalveusingadeepwellsockettothefollowing
specications:
•Tractionreliefvalve=32to35N·m(24to26ft-lb).
•Rearliftreliefvalve(model08743)=32to35N·m(24to26ft-lb).
•Optionalrearremotehydraulicssolenoidvalve=32to35N·m(24
to26ft-lb).
•Optionalhydraulicswitchkitvalves=refertoServicingtheOptional
HydraulicSwitchKitManifold(page5–119).
D.Forsolenoidvalves,slidethesolenoidcoilontothecartridgevalve.
Tightenthecoilnutto0.6N·m(5ft-lb)
7.Ifaproblemstillexists,removethevalveandcleanitagainorreplacethe
valve.
