totheneutrallaverandadjustthecapscrew.Tightenthelocknutand
re-checktheswitchtocapscrewclearance.

neutralswitchandcircuitwiringarefunctioningcorrectlybeforereturningthe
machinetoservice.Iftheneutralswitchanditscircuitwiringarefunctioning
correctly:
A.Disconnectthesparkplugwiresfromtheenginesparkplugsandensure
thePTOswitchissettoOFF.
B.SetthekeyswitchtotheSTARTposition.Thestartershouldengage
whilethetractionpedalisintheNEUTRALpositionandanOperatoris
notintheseat.
C.SetthekeyswitchtotheSTARTposition.Theenginestartershouldnot
engagewhilethetractionpedalisintheFORWARDorREVERSEposition
andanOperatorisnotintheseat.
D.Connectthesparkplugwirestotheenginesparkplugsaftertesting.
TestingtheTractionNeutralSwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,loweranyattachments,engagethe
parkingbrake,setthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremovethekey
fromtheswitch.
2.Removethecentershroud.
3.Ensurethatthetractionneutralswitchiscorrectlyadjusted;refertoAdjusting
theTractionNeutralSwitch(page6–16).
4.Disconnectthetractionneutralswitchfromthemachinewireharness.
Checktheharnessconnectorsfordamageorcorrosionandcleanorrepair
ifnecessary.
5.Checkthecontinuityoftheswitchbyconnectingamultimeter(ohmssetting)
acrosstheswitchconnectorterminals.
