13.Removethecapscrewsecuringtherightfrontcorneroftheenginetothe
enginesupportanddisconnectthegroundcablefromtheenginecrankcase.
14.Loosenthetwo(2)setscrewsinthedrivehubontheenginestubshaft.
CAUTION
Useahoistorlifttoremovetheengineoncetheengineisclearof
themachineframe.Theengineassemblyweighsapproximately41
kg(90lbs).
15.Removetheenginefromthemachine.
A.Slidetheenginetowardtherearofmachinetoremoveenginestubshaft
fromdrivehub.Takecarenottodamagetherubberdrivecoupler.
B.Oncetheenginestubshaftisclearofthedrivehub,removetheengine
fromtherearofthemachine.
C.Locateandretrievethesquarekeybetweentheenginestubshaftand
drivehub.
16.Checktheconditionofthemotormountsandreplaceifnecessary.
17.Continuetodisassembletheengineifnecessary.
18.Coverorplugallengineopeningstopreventcontaminantsfromentering
theengine.

RefertoFigure15forthisprocedure.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethatallpartsareremovedfromtheengineduring
maintenanceoroverhaularecorrectlyinstalledontheengine.
Ensurethattherotatingscreenandtheblowerhousingareinstalled
totheengine.Neveroperatetheenginewithouttheblowerhousing
installedoroverheatingandenginedamagewillresult.
1.Ifthemuferwasremoved:
A.Discardtheoldgasketsandremoveanyremaininggasketmaterial.
B.Installnewgasketsandtightenthemountingfastenersfrom19to22
N·m(170to200in-lb).
2.Applyanti-seizelubricanttotheboreofthedrivehub.
