driveshaftisdisconnectedfromthecuttingdeck.Ifyoustartthe
engineandthePTOshaftisallowedtorotate,seriouspersonalinjury
andmachinedamagecouldresult.
DisconnectthePTOelectricclutchelectricalconnectorwhenever
thePTOdriveshaftisdisconnectedfromthecuttingdeck.
RemovingthePTODriveshaft
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.

B.Pressthespringloadedpin(4)andslidetheendyokeofthedriveshaft
towardstheengine.
3.DisconnecttheendyokeofthePTOdriveshaftfromthePTOshaftasfollows:
A.Pressthespringloadedpinontheendyokeandslidetheendyokeofthe
driveshaftawayfromtheengine.
B.Removethenuts(27),washers(13),bolt(29)andbracket(28)that
securesthepolyethylenetubeprotector(20)tothechassis.
4.RemovethePTOdriveshaft(16)withpolyethylenetubeprotector(20)from
themachine.
5.Ifnecessary,removethePTOdriveshaft(16)fromthepolyethylenetube
protector(20)usingtheFigure163asaguide.
