Several causes can be thought of. Handle
the matter with reference to ‘Error Message’ in
Owner’s Manual.
• Paper is not properly loaded.
• Paper jam occurred during an issue.
• Paper is not fed properly.
• Size of paper being loaded is different from
the one specified by the program.
Cutter error
CUTTER ERROR
Cutter error is occurring.
Paper jam is occurring in the cutter area.
Remove the paper and load a paper again.
Pressing the [RESTART] key continues to
print.
No paper
NO PAPER
No paper error is occurring.
Paper has run out. Please load paper.
Pressing the [RESTART] key continues to
print.
No ribbon
NO RIBBON
No ribbon error is occurring.
The ribbon has run out. Please install a new
ribbon.
Pressing the [RESTART] key continues to
print.
Head is open.
Properly lock the top cover (print head
mechanical unit).
Head open error is occurring.
Properly lock the top cover (print head
mechanical unit).

Cover open error is occurring.
Paper was issued or fed without closing the
front cover.

Head broken

Head broken elements error is occurring.
Heating element of the head may be partly
broken. Replace the head.
Excessive head
temperature error
EXCESS HEAD TEMP
Excessive had temperature error is occurring.
The head temperature has reached the upper
limit of the usage range. Stop issuing paper
and turn the power off. After the head cools
down, restart issuing paper. If the same
problem repeats, turn the power off and
contact your local service station.
