7 Device testing
With the CTC II you can carry out the following device tests:
• Speed test
1)
– Accuracy of the speed indicator
– Recording of speed on the tachograph chart (record
sheet).
• Odometer test
– Accuracy of the odometer.
• Test chart
1)
– Test certificate in compliance with § 57b StVZO
(Germany)
– Recording of speed on the tachographl chart
– Recording of working time on the tachograph chart.
• Variable speed
– Accuracy of the speed indicator
– Test purposes (e. g. RSL).
• Clock test
2)
– Accuracy of clock.
• Press to start the "Test device" menu.
The CTC II reads the tachograph type.

Function to be carried out only in the case of analogue
tachographs.
2)
Clock test for digital tachographs only for the purpose of
function check (not available for all tachographs).
