3.5 Intercom Caller Controlled Signaling
Description
You can change the signaling mode of an Intercom (ICM) call from Tone ring to Voice announce
or Voice announce to Tone ring.
Operation
iPECS IP & LDP Phones
To change the ICM Signaling mode;
1. Place your intercom call as normal.
2. Dial “#”, the ICM Signaling mode will change from Voice announce to Tone ring or Tone
ring to Voice announce.
SLT
To change the ICM Signaling mode;
1. Place your intercom call as normal.
2. Dial “#”, ICM Signaling mode will change from Voice announce to Tone ring or Tone ring to
Voice announce.
Conditions
1. The ICM Signaling mode cannot be changed when an Intercom call is placed to a
Linked Pair station. Such intercom calls always employ Tone signaling.
2. If the signaling mode is changed, the call is not subject to Call Forward, No Answer.
3. The signaling mode for a specific Intercom call can only be changed once and cannot
be changed back to the original signaling mode.
4. Changing the signaling mode does not affect privacy at the called station.
