13.2.6.1 Connectivity Check Command Example
The following commands show you how to set the WAN1 interface to use a TCP handshake on port
8080 to check the connection to IP address 1.1.1.2
13.3 Ethernet Interface Specific Commands
This section covers commands that are specific to Ethernet interfaces.
The following table identifies the values required for many of these commands. Other input values
are discussed with the corresponding commands.
13.3.1 MAC Address Setting Commands
This table lists the commands you can use to set the MAC address of an interface.
Router# configure terminal
Router(config)# interface wan1
Router(config-if-wan1)# ping-check 1.1.1.2 method tcp port 8080
Router(config-if-wan1)# exit
Router(config)# show ping-check
Interface: wan1
Check Method: tcp
IP Address: 1.1.1.2
Period: 30
Timeout: 5
Fail Tolerance: 5
Activate: yes
Port: 8080
Router(config)#

LABEL DESCRIPTION
interface_name The name of the Ethernet interface. This depends on the UAG model.
See Table 37 on page 86 for detailed information about the interface name.
Table 45 interface Commands: MAC Setting
COMMAND DESCRIPTION
interface interface_name Enters sub-command mode.
no mac Has the interface use its default MAC address.
mac mac Specifies the MAC address the interface is to use.
