  Check the cable connection between the ZyXEL Communications Gateway and your computer or switch. Ping the ZyXEL Communications Gateway from a LAN computer to test the connection. Ensure your computer’s Ethernet card is installed and functioning properly, and that its IP address is in the same subnet as the ZyXEL Communications Gateway’s. If you've forgotten the password, press the RESET button for about 5 seconds (or until the PWR LED starts to blink), then release it to return the device to factory defaults. If you’ve forgotten the ZyXEL Communications Gateway’s IP address, connect your computer to the CONSOLE port using a console cable and a terminal emulation program set to specific parameters (VT100, no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no flow control, 115200 bps).
