Beforeinstallingthisequipment,users
shouldensurethatitispermissibletobe
connectedtothefacilitiesofthelocal
telecommunicationscompany.The
equipmentmustalsobeinstalledusingan
acceptablemethodofconnection.The
customershouldbeawarethatcompliance
withtheaboveconditionsmaynotprevent
degradationofservice
insomesituations.
Repairstocertifiedequipmentshouldbe
madebyanauthorizedCanadian
maintenancefacilitydesignatedbythe
supplier.Anyrepairsoralterationsmadeby
theusertothisequipment,orequipment
malfunctions,maygivethe
telecommunicationscompanycauseto
requesttheusertodisconnectthe
equipment.
Usersshouldensurefortheirownprotection
thattheelectricalgroundconnectionsofthe
powerutility,telephonelines,andinternal
metallicwaterpipesystem,ifpresent,are
connectedtogether.Thisprecautionmaybe
particularlyimportantinruralareas.
CAUTION:Usersshouldnotattempttomake
suchconnectionsthemselves,butshould
contacttheappropriateelectricinspection
authority,orelectrician,asappropriate.
