8 Operation
Parameter descriptions
Submenu / parameter Value range Remark
Dip Switch
Hardware switch.
IdentNo Selector There is a 10-position DIP switch in the transmitter. It can be
accessed after opening the cover of the housing. The switch
position is displayed on the device in the data link submenu. It
can also be read via the FF communication in the transducer
block. An open switch is shown as while a closed switch as x.
The following switches are assigned:Switch 1 = Simulate Enable
off = Simulation mode disable on = Simulation Mode enabled.
Switch 2 = Write Protect Off = Simulation Mode disabled on =
Write protect enabled. ‘Simulation mode enabled’ only allows you
to run a AI block simulation. The simulation is switched on/off via
the ‘Simulate’ parameter. ‘Write protect enabled’ prevents
overwriting of block parameters. Switches 3-10 have no function.

Error Mask
This menu shows the screen for the error register (TB Index 95).
Bitstring 0 ON Line 1 shows the setting of the bit (on/off), which is indicated by
its bitstring number. Line 2 shows the complete screen in hex
characters. Lines 3 and 4 provide plaintext descriptions of each
bit. Select the bits via the keys Data and Step, and select ENTER
to switch the bit on/off.
