The capacity of the vessel must be suffi-
cient to take the complete amount of oil.
Put the end of the hose in an oil collecting
vessel.

Using a low air pressure, start sucking the
oil out from the gearbox with the oil change
equipment.

WARNING
Used oil is hazardous material and must be
disposed of in a safe way. See section De-
commissioning on page 371 for more inform-
ation.

Tip
Make a note how much oil was drained.
The same amount shall later be refilled.
Let the oil drain until the gearbox is empty.
Note
There will be some oil left in the gearbox
after draining. Measure the volume of the
drained oil in the vessel.

Remove the hose and clean it.11

Use this procedure to fill the gearbox with oil.
