Turning On the Signal Generator
If you are operating this instrument in extreme environmental conditions, refer to the
following operation limitations.
The following minimum conditions are required for safe operation of this instrument:
• indoor use
• altitude < 4500 meters (15,000 feet)
• temperature: 0 ° to 50 °C
• maximum relative humidity 80% for temperature up to 31 °C decreasing linearly to
50% relative humidity at 40 °C
• INSTALLATION CATEGORY II according to IEC 1010
• POLLUTION DEGREE 2 according to IEC 664
The instrument performs a diagnostic self test on power-up. If any problems are detected
with functionality it will display a message. Refer to Chapter 1c, “Operation Messages,” for
further information about the messages.
