5.1.3.2.2.2 FAST DRIVE and BOOSTER: OPTIONAL configuration.
When the button (11) is pressed, automatic activation of the horn signals that the function has been
activated (1 blow of the horn) or deactivated (2 blows of the horn).
If the machine is in TRANSPORT CONFIGURATION, regardless of the position of the potentiometer (7), the
FAST DRIVE + BOOSTER function is active and:
- Control the traction with only the right joystick (2) activated within about 90% of its stroke:
o the traction control is activated in the direction of travel selected by the joystick;
o the car moves straight ahead with an accelerated Diesel engine;
o steering is not possible;
o to obtain steering, the function must be deactivated by pressing the button (11) again
after stopping the manoeuvre.
- Controlling traction with the right joystick only (2) activated over about 90% of its stroke:
o the traction control is activated in the direction of travel selected by the joystick;
o the machine moves straight ahead at increased speed (BOOSTER function) with
accelerated Diesel engine;
o steering is not possible;
o to obtain steering, the function must be deactivated by pressing the button (11) again
after stopping the manoeuvre.
If the machine is out of the TRANSPORT CONFIGURATION, regardless of the position of the potentiometer
(7), the FAST DRIVE function is active. Traction control with the right joystick only (2):
- The traction control is activated in the direction of travel selected by the joystick;
- The machine moves straight ahead at the safety speed with an accelerated Diesel engine;
- Steering is not possible;
- To obtain steering, the function must be deactivated by pressing the button (11) again after
stopping the manoeuvre.
5.1.3.3 Manual control of the levelling of the fifth wheel plane.
On machines with control console equipped with graphic display, it is possible to tilt the fifth wheel plane
manually. To control the manual levelling of the fifth wheel plane, use the joystick (1) at the same time
as the button for activating the MANUAL function (14).
By operating the joystick (1) in the longitudinal direction, the fifth wheel plane tilts forward or backwards
in accordance with the joystick operation;
By operating the joystick (1) in a transverse direction, the fifth wheel plane tilts sideways to the right or
left in accordance with the joystick operation.
If the machine is in transport condition and there is a load greater than 20 kg on the platform, it is
possible to manually tilt the fifth wheel plane up to a maximum inclination of 5° both in the longitudinal
and lateral direction.
If the load on the platform is less than 20 kg, i.e. by operating from the platform, it is possible to reach
the end of the stroke (15°).
