6.1.3 Lowering the platform
CAUTION!
The passenger, the movements of the platform and the
area around the platform are not visible from the ball-cock
with which the platform is lowered.
There is a risk of injury to the passenger through falling or
crushing if the accompanying person is not in sight.
There is a risk of injury through crushing to persons stand-
ing within the range of movement of the platform.
Therefore:
Always have a second person in attendance, to observe
movements of the platform and to supervise the pas-
senger on the platform, when the platform is being low-
ered.
ð Open the ball-cock on the hydraulic aggregate (see Fig-
ure 27).

The platform lowers.
ð Close the ball-cock as soon as the platform has lowered
to the desired height.
