Poorly adjusted rollers can also cause the platform to jerk
when being retracted. If in doubt, a specialist workshop
must decide whether the retract position or the rollers
need to be re-adjusted (adjusting the rollers: see Sec-
tion 9.1.2, page 67).
9.1.1 Adjusting the switching point for the re-
tract position (K70 / K90)
The switching point for the retract position is set by a
switching cam (position: see Figure 43 and Figure 44,
page 65). The switching cam operates a position switch on
the internal carriage of the Back-in-Box-Lift as soon as the
retract position is reached.
ð Fully extend the platform from the cassette (for the op-
erating controls: see Section 2.3, page 23).
ð Fully raise the platform.
ð Lower the platform to the retract position.
ð Retract the platform into the cassette.
ð Observe whether the platform is too high or too low
when it retracts into the cassette, such that the rollers
hit the leading edge of the guide rails.
If the platform is too high when it retracts into the cassette:
ð Extend the platform fully out of the cassette.
ð Lower the platform onto the ground.
ð Push the transfer plate down.
ð Adjust the switching cam by hitting it lightly with a ham-
mer from above (see Figure 43 and Figure 44, page
65). In order to prevent damage to the switching cam,
place an aluminium block between the hammer and
switching cam.
