6 Emergency Mode
If the Back-in-Box-Lift’s electrical drive fails, an emergency
situation for the passenger can be avoided by operating
the Back-in-Box-Lift manually.
NOTE
Two persons are necessary to operate the emergency
mode.
In order to raise the platform, the (optional) manually-
operated pump must be installed on the Back-in-Box-
Lift’s
hydraulic system.
WARNING!
Risk of injury and material damage if the Back-in-Box-
Lift is
permanently operated in the emergency mode.
The failure of the
hydraulic system’s electrical drive can be
caused by other, undetected damage to the Back-in-Box-
Lift. This damage can cause danger in the emergency
mode.
The person operating the Back-in-Box-Lift in the emer-
gency mode can be physically overburdened by the ne-
cessity to operate it manually. An emergency situation can
arise for the passenger on the platform.
Therefore:
• Only use the emergency operating mode in an emer-
gency situation.
• Initiate subsequent repairs to the Back-in-Box-Lift.
