7.2 Routine Maintenance Work
The maintenance schedule below lists the maintenance
work that must be carried out at regular intervals.
Contact the customer service department for maintenance
work that must only be carried out by a specialist (see
Chapter 13, page 98).
7.2.1 Maintenance schedule
Functionally test the safety devices.
Carry out a visual inspection for damage, faults and
leaks. Initiate repairs if necessary.
When operating the Back-in-Box-Lift, listen for any un-
usual noises and look for signs of jerking when the plat-
form is being retracted. Initiate repairs if necessary.
Inspect the state of wear and stability of the rubbing
protector in the vehicle on which the transfer plate
rests when raising and lowering the platform.
Inspect the hydraulic hoses.
Check that all fastenings are secure.
If used commercially or communally:
Have the Back-in-Box-Lift inspected by a technical ex-
pert.
Recommended if used privately.
Renew the hydraulic hoses.
Clean the Back-in-Box-Lift.
7.2.2 Maintenance record
Enter maintenance and repair work that has been carried
out into the maintenance record provided for this purpose
(see Section 7.6, page 57). This provides a traceable rec-
ord of maintenance work.
For records of maintenance work over and above this, it is
recommended that you keep your own lists.
