SECTION 3 OPERATING THE A-2000
______________________________________________________________________
3-19
High Alarm Limit - A high alarm limit may be set so that you are notified when the BIS
number reaches a particular high level. If the BIS number reaches the high limit, the BIS
number displayed on the screen will alternate from a solid display to an outlined display
(when signal quality is good). If signal quality goes below 50, the outlined BIS number
will blink on and off. The limit line shown on the graphic display will also blink. An alarm
message appears and, if alarms have not been silenced, an audible alarm will sound.
To set the high alarm limit:
1. Press [MENU/EXIT] to access the Setup Menu.
2. Highlight Advanced Setup using the up [] or down [] arrows.
3. Press [SELECT].
4. Highlight Alarm Menu using the up [] or down [] arrows.
5. Press [SELECT].
6. Highlight High Alarm Limit.
7. Press [SELECT].
8. Use the up [] or down [] arrows to increase or decrease the limit number.
9. Press [SELECT] to confirm the setting.
10. Press [MENU/EXIT] to exit the Alarm Menu.
Note:
Turning a limit alarm OFF differs from pressing the front panel [SILENCE]
in that OFF disables audible and visible alarms for the BIS alarm limit
only. The Alarm Silence key disables all audible alarms but does not
disable visual alarms.
To permanently save this change, use the “Save Settings” option in the Advanced Setup
Menu.
Low Alarm Limit - A low alarm limit may be set so that you are notified when the BIS
number reaches a particular low level. If the BIS number descends to the low limit, the
BIS number displayed on the screen will alternate from a solid display and outlined
display (when signal quality is good). If signal quality is below 50, the outlined BIS
number will blink on and off. The limit line shown on the graphic display will also blink.
An alarm message appears and, if alarms have not been silenced, an audible alarm will
sound.
To set the low alarm limit:
1. Press [MENU/EXIT] to access the Setup Menu.
2. Highlight Advanced Setup using the up [] or down [] arrows.
3. Press [SELECT].
4. Highlight Alarm Menu using the up [] or down [] arrows.
5. Press [SELECT].
6. Highlight Low Alarm Limit.
7. Press [SELECT].
8. Use the up [
] or down [] arrows to increase or decrease the limit number.
9. Press [SELECT] to confirm the setting.
10. Press [MENU/EXIT] to exit the Alarm Menu.
