Paving thickness fast adjustment
Tow arm
Left tow arm (3) and right tow
arm (4) are located on two sides
of vehicle and are connected to
the vehicle via front leveling
cylinder (1) and rear tow arm
cylinder (2). Meanwhile, they
are connected to screed via
connecting elements (9).
Paving thickness is achieved by
screed height above ground, which is adjusted by hydraulically control leveling
cylinder (1) and tow arm cylinder (2). Screed height above ground can be read
from tow arm scale (10). There are guide pulleys (5) on the front end of tow arms
which are used for leveling cylinder (1) rising and falling. When paver finisher stops
working, raise tow arms and lock them with tow arm locks (6).
Don’t come into the area below the screed or work under it without latching
hydraulic lock. Danger of accidents!
When tow arm pins (6) are used, screed crowning can be set to zero position.
Normally, the tow arm locks (6) are used in transportation.
