1.3 Preparation for paving
Separator fluid
Spray the parts coming into contact
with asphalt (hopper, screed, auger,
push roller) with a separator fluid.
Do not use diesel fuel as it dissolves
the bitumen (prohibited in China!).
Screed heater system
Switch on the screed heater approx. 15-30 minutes (depending on the ambient
temperature) before paving begins. Warming up prevents the material from
sticking to the screed plates.
Direction marks
To ensure straight paving, a direction mark
must be present or established (road edge,
chalk lines or similar).
- Slide the operating panel to the desired side
and secure it.
- Pull the direction indicator out of the bumper
(arrow) and adjust it accordingly.
